Vet on the Block Companion Animal Center is a modern, welcoming, and fully equipped space dedicated to the health and care of our four-legged friends. It was founded by the highly trained veterinarians Lydia Kapsokardi and Sofia Gouzouma, who have been fortunate enough to combine their love for animals with their profession.
Located in the heart of Thermi, its primary mission is to provide high-quality veterinary services, ensuring that your pets remain healthy and happy.

Our philosophy
Companion animals are more than just company: they are family, friends, and an integral part of our lives. With responsibility, professionalism, and compassion, we strive to meet the diverse needs of our little visitors and their guardians.
Sofia Gouzouma
Sofia Gouzouma graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaly in 2018. In 2023, she completed her postgraduate studies with distinction in the field of Companion Animal Surgery at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Since 2018, she has worked in private veterinary practices providing both primary and secondary care, as well as in a private veterinary clinic, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of cases. At the same time, she has attended numerous conferences and practical seminars, and has also published work in a scientific veterinary journal.
Her love for animals began in childhood, in a home full of four-legged friends, with her mother—also a veterinarian—as her role model. As she grew older, caring for animals became a natural part of her daily life, gradually leading her to choose the profession she loves and serves with dedication.
Lydia Kapsokardi
Lydia Kapsokardi graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2018. Since then, she has worked in two private veterinary clinics in Thessaloniki, managing primary and secondary care internal medicine cases, as well as emergencies. Over the years, she has attended both theoretical and practical seminars, aiming to further specialize in the field of internal medicine. Today, she is a clinical veterinarian at Vet on the Block, the clinic she co-founded with Sofia Gouzouma, with a primary scientific interest in companion animal internal medicine.
Alongside her clinical practice, she consistently continues her professional development through educational seminars and conferences. Her relationship with animals is deeply personal: she lives with four four-legged companions at home and is actively interested in the care of stray animals, supporting initiatives that promote their protection and improve their quality of life.
Eleni Dionysopoulou
Eleni Dionysopoulou graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2022. Since then, she has worked in large veterinary clinics in Thessaloniki, managing emergency cases, demanding hospitalizations, and complex internal medicine cases. She is currently a clinical veterinarian at Vet on the Block.
With a strong interest in internal medicine, she continues to advance her knowledge through ongoing education and participation in seminars. Her love for animals, combined with her scientific training, makes her a responsible and dedicated professional, providing consistent and compassionate care for our four-legged friends.
